Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to the VidiKids Support Center. Everything you need to know about setting up and enjoying your Video Walkie-Talkies is right here.
Getting Started
Do I need to set up channels or frequencies? No setup is required! Our walkie-talkies feature Instant Auto-Pairing. Simply turn both devices on, and they will automatically find each other on a private, secure channel so your kids can start chatting immediately.
Is an internet connection or SIM card required? Not at all. VidiKids devices communicate directly with one another. They do not require Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or a phone plan, making them 100% private and perfect for use in remote areas like parks or campsites.
Performance & Range
How far apart can the walkie-talkies be?
- Indoors: Approximately 100m (320 ft)—perfect for playing across different floors or rooms.
- Outdoors: Up to 300m (1,000 ft) in open areas, ideal for backyard adventures and neighborhood play.
Can I add a third or fourth unit to the group? Yes! As long as the units are from the same VidiKids series, they will auto-pair on the same frequency, allowing multiple children to join the same video and voice conversation.
Battery & Charging
How do I charge the devices? Each unit comes with a Type-C fast-charging port. You can use any standard USB-C cable. A full charge takes only about 1 hour.
How long does a full charge last? The built-in 650mAh battery provides roughly 3.5 hours of continuous video/voice use or up to 7 days on standby mode.
Features & Safety
How do the voice changers work? Kids can toggle through 4 fun effects (Original, Child, Monster, and Male voice) at the press of a button. It’s a great way to spark creativity during role-playing games!
Is the video feed secure? Absolutely. Because the devices use a point-to-point radio frequency rather than the internet, no one outside of the two devices can access the video feed. Your child’s play stays completely private.
What age range is this best for? VidiKids are designed for children aged 3 to 12. The buttons are oversized and simplified so even toddlers can master "one-touch" communication, while the tech remains exciting enough for older kids.
Troubleshooting
The screen is dark. What should I do? First, ensure the device is fully charged (the indicator will let you know when it’s ready). If it’s still dark, hold the power button for 3 seconds to initiate the startup sequence.
